My bill names a different company
Your bill is right for your address. If it names a rural electrification association or a gas co-op, use that name when asking about service. Help for REA and natural gas co-op customers.
What does the delivery company do?
The delivery company, also called the distributor, brings power or gas to your home through local wires or pipes. Your address sets which delivery company you use. Changing the company that sells you energy does not change those wires or pipes.
What is the default supplier?
The default supplier sells energy to households that have not chosen a competitive energy contract. This is a different role from delivering energy through wires or pipes. Use your bill to see which supplier sells you energy.

Questions people ask
Can I choose my delivery company?
No. Your delivery company depends on where your home connects to the local wires or gas pipes. Choosing a different retailer changes who sells you energy. It does not move that connection. Use the delivery company named on your bill when you need help with service at your address.
Why are there two delivery companies for my town?
Municipal boundaries and delivery areas do not always match. Different parts of the same town can have different delivery companies. A name in this table does not mean it serves every address in that town. Use the delivery company on your own bill for your home.
Does my delivery company change if I switch retailer?
No. Switching retailer changes the company that sells you energy, while delivery still uses the same wires or pipes at your home. Look at the delivery section of your bill to identify that company. If the table shows several names for your town, your bill identifies the one for your address.
