How these charges reach your bill

Your retailer includes delivery charges and municipal fees on your energy bill.

The delivery company collects the town fee through your retailer. Switching retailer does not change these delivery charges.

Questions people ask

What is a delivery charge?

It pays the delivery company to bring energy to your home through wires or pipes and to maintain that system.

Why does the town fee differ from town to town?

Municipalities set their own fees for the delivery company to use municipal land and infrastructure.

Does switching retailer change delivery charges?

No. The delivery company and municipal fees stay the same whichever retailer you choose.
