BillRobin started when its founder moved house and found comparing power and gas plans harder than it should be. Getting to a useful answer took more work than it should have.
BillRobin is being built around a simple idea: people deserve a clear answer about their bills without becoming experts in every market they buy from.

We want to make it easier to understand whether a change is worthwhile, what it involves, and what to do next. If staying with your current plan is the right outcome, that should be a useful answer too.
BillRobin is an Alberta service that checks household electricity and gas bills, free during our launch. Send PDFs of your bills; a photo works too. We compare the plans available at your address. Your result shows what you pay now, the cheapest eligible plans and your estimated saving. We never phone you or come to your door. We never switch your plan.
We cannot compare electricity plans for homes with solar panels that send power to the grid yet. We can still check their gas plan. Your result explains any plans we could not compare and why.

Households everywhere deal with recurring bills. As we grow, each new province, country and type of bill will need its own research and local approach. We’ll expand where we can provide a useful, supported service.
