A one-time $100 payment for eligible Albertans to help with the cost of everyday essentials. (1 July 2026 to 31 October 2026) [source]
Applications must be submitted by 31 October 2026; the deadline was extended. (1 July 2026 to 31 October 2026) [source]
Who can get it?
You must be 18 or older on 1 July 2026, an Alberta resident, have filed a 2025 tax return, and have a household total income of $225,000 or less. (1 July 2026 to 31 October 2026) [source]
Read the eligibility rules on the official page before starting. The rebate helps with everyday costs; it is separate from a gas bill credit.
People receiving the Alberta Seniors Benefit, AISH or ADAP, or Income Support are enrolled automatically
People who receive the Alberta Seniors Benefit, AISH (including people moved to the Alberta Disability Assistance Program) or Income Support are enrolled automatically and do not need to apply. (1 July 2026 to 31 October 2026) [source]
Being a senior is not enough for automatic enrolment. Check whether you receive a listed benefit.

Watch for scam texts
The government warns of scam texts about the rebate. Do not click links in text messages; apply only through the official Alberta.ca portal. The government will not send money by text message. (1 July 2026 to 31 October 2026) [source]
Open Alberta.ca yourself if a message leaves you unsure.
Is there also a gas rebate?
Yes. The natural gas rebate is a separate program tied to the monthly gas price. Receiving an energy payment does not mean a gas credit is due.
